  Great atmosphere, efficient, friendly staff, very popular even on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Imaginative menu plus old favourites which everyone in our group of 9 enjoyed. I had a great time UNTIL we paid the bill. We were all surprised at the 12.5% service charge. I'm sure it's mentioned on the menu, but it must be well hidden because none of us saw it.
  Service Charge is an anathema! Tipping which is shared among the whole staff (not just the waiters) is preferable - and should be highlighted on the menu.

  This is a lovely pub set in beautiful countryside. The food has always been great in my experience and the staff are certainly friendly and welcoming. It is quite large with several different eating areas but all are pleasant with working fireplaces and candles. It is unsurprisingly very popular and this can mean that at busy periods there is sometimes a delay to get the food. However for a relaxing meal, it is a wonderful place to go.

  Great Family pub with amazing food and drinks. Fantastic after a long cold walk to warm up

  Country pub with plenty of parking. I opted for the roast as it was a Sunday, the food was plentiful and tasty, service quick and the gin and tonic divine. Lovely Sunday roast

  Great, place seated almost immediately. Served drinks within minutes. Had nachos while we waited which were a treat.
  Prawn and crayfish starter was delicious and the chicken wings were big and sticky.
  Both had mixed roast which was very generous and delicious. Service was fine with no complaints.
  Will visit again.
