  The best pie I have ever tasted? YES! There is a reason why the pies are perched at the very top of the North Pole’s specials board. There is a reason why it is packed with punters. This traditional pub cares; it cares about well prepared, wholesome homemade food. It cares about its customers. You’ll smile like a cat that has got the cream when you receive the bill. Excellent value for money. If all pubs offered this experience, no one would need cook at home on the evenings.

  Good Sunday lunch carvery, and good selection of interesting ales. Nice place to be, friendly, staff very keen to chat to each other rather than serve though,or would have been 5 stars. Still recommend it though!
