“A fantastic way to start our holiday. Excellent friendly (European service) not surly English take it or leave it. The food was excellent, crab and lobster small to start. We shared the starter. For centre we had Cornish lamb French style and an Italian style belly of pork. For dessert a sticky toffee pudding date pudding. We at back at Gatwick in a few weeks. We'll be here again.”

“We had a quick visit to Pret to collect food to eat on the flight. There was plenty of choice for fresh food, but it was very crowded. It would have been better if there was more space to see what was on offer and decide what to buy. At the checkouts, there was a very short queue and we were quickly served. There was not much space to sit and eat, so you may need to find seating elsewhere at the airport.”

“Charlotte was so helpful! I was stopping in the Marriot hotel when I had huge issues with another car hire company I’d used. They canceled my booking last minute and it was very stressful. I noticed thrifty in the hotel lobby and thought I’d speak to them about how to hire a car from them. Charlotte was on the desk and could not be more helpful. She sympathised with us a great deal and took the time to explain how to hire a car with Thrifty. She even spoke to use about what cars we prefer driving and which kind of transmission would work best for us. Within minutes, we was outside being handed the keys to our car. Charlotte even checked with us several times If we was happy with the car as it would be no trouble changing it! We was delighted with the car Charlotte offered us and away we went. Return was simple too, we simply handed the reception the keys and our deposit was returned within hours! It was such a relief compared to the nightmare we’ve been through with other company’s.... highly recommend, even if they’re slightly more expensive!”

“My friend and I.popped into Jamie's coffee this afternoon whilst saying goodbye! It was extremely busy and the only seats available were high stools facing the concourse... great for people watching. I had a skinny hit chocolate and my friend had the same (after learning there was no chai tea... I thought that was de riguer these days!). As I consider myself something of a red velvet cake connosiuer, I opted for a mini red velvet cupcake. It felt cold and heavy and I didn't hold much hope for a decent treat. However I found myself pleasantly surprised, the cake could have been a little more moist ( but it certainly wasn't bad!) The crowning glory of this cupcake is the fabulous cream cheese frosting. It is fantastic and I could quite happily tuck into a bowl of just that! It was probably one of the very best frosting I've had! The hot chocolate was also very nice, it could have been hotter, but then I could have also asked for extra hot! Price wise, yes its a bit more expensive but id probably put a lot of that down to airport rental policy and a tied customer base... theyre there, let's charge them!! Lol. We found the staff to be friendly and quick! I would definitely stop for another cupcake next time at Gatwick lol”

“It's a great airport if you're needing waste time before your flight! There are a large variety of shops, charging stations/outlets, and restaurants to choose from during your wait. The terminal is easy to navigate especially since all of the Arrival/Departure Screens use state of the art screens/technology.”

“If you shop smart you can get a ton of food for under £10. They had salads on special for 2 for £4, cooked barbecue chicken drumsticks 5 for £2, and a coconut milk beverage. Perfect value for coming off a plane. Staff were quick with the check out and also pleasant to converse with.”
