I loved this place! The trees were so cute and I loved the bridges and buildings. There were huge eagles flying over and turkeys walking around down by the water. It's not the same as real Japanese gardens, but still awesome. I just took off one star because there is so much trash in the creek. Still worth going though!
This is a nice garden. Very peaceful and quiet. Its close to down town Hayward but you can't hear any of that in the garden.
Great place to take photos. We went here to take head shots and a couple was there taking wedding pictures.
HJG is a nicely hidden oasis in the middle of the East Bay. I almost find it a little difficult to share as I hope it does not get to crowed as more people discover it. Please be respectful when attending. Part of the experience is to enter peacefully, mindful and aware of your senses. Absolute silence is nor required be gratefully appreciated. Meditating along side the natural elements within the garden is at the peak of the overall experience here. The fall colors are a visual feast for the eyes.
Really cute little garden. Free to the public. Nicely shaped and maintained trees of all kinds. Very peaceful and pretty.
great place to unwind and enjoy the garden. Keep a sharp eye on the coy fish they are a wonder to look at. The little turtles are sweet to see swimming around. I love the small steps around the garden that you can walk on and sit under the small trees.
