French Tip Nail Salon

It was a long and winding road indeed for me to finally darken the doors of Eight Nine Nail Salon.
Today is a holiday and though everything is pretty much open for business my 10 year tenure at Gloss Nails (formerly Tammys' and before that Amy's) was now over in that with new owners doing a major reno i was wandering the streets of Glendale looking for a replacement.
I found one venue on south Glendale avenue though through some sort of sleight of hand or more to the point mistaken and faulty Yelp emails and text messages i ended up here in north Glendale avenue and in the caring hands of Vanessa and Tina at the Eighty Nine.
How this accidentally happened is too boring to go into but suffice it to say, i am happy that it all ended up this way.
I went in today and was greeted warmly by the above mentioned ladies and one Egibert who handles the money and caring for the front desk.
Tina took the reins of my manicure and pedicure and worked quickly, hygienically and quietly: just the way i like it.
They offer many more services here as far as Nails, Eyebrows, etc but i was only interested in getting a good, thorough manicure and pedicure. Which i did.
Vanessa and crew are new at this address which is in the old Ralphs, Subway mini mall close to Glendale City College.
Check this place out and avail yourself of the loveliness, kindness and professional care of these nice people. I will be back!

The place is also pretty and clean.

I absolutely love this nail salon. The massage chairs are so comfortable and the service is excellent. They are also my one stop shop for nails, lash extensions, and waxing. Also, parking is never a problem here, thankfully!

Had a fun and interesting dinner at Fat Rice. The flavors were great and the server was super knowledgeable and friendly. We turned up without a reservation and waited 10 minutes, which I especially appreciated. Of note, they have communal seating at some of the tables. So if that's not your thing you should plan accordingly. I'm eager to try more of the menu the next time I go.
