(January 29, 2018, 1:39 am)Cute and homely shop that catches the eye in East LA. The drink I ordered was sweet and light. Nothing unique or particularly memorable but it was cheap :D Sadly, gentrification and rising rent costs may push out mom n' pop shops like these, which added to the unique flavor of this community. I plan to try the specialty fusion-Mex drinks before that happens!
It's not 5-stars b/c street parking is a pain here and they frequently run out of supplies for their most popular drinks. -

(January 23, 2018, 9:48 pm)I heard about this cafe from my friends and decided I had to check it out. I have only had the cafe de olla, but it’s great!!!!! It’s not overly sweet like so many spots. They also carry Homeboy Industry baked goods, which always makes me a returning customer to any spot. They have a little sitting area in the front too in case you are like me and waiting for your ride to come swoop you up. I know they carry their beans so you can purchase them to make your own coffee at home (which I gotta get). I wish they were closer, and will definitely go back back to try more items on their menu and maybe find a seat to read for a bit.

(October 5, 2017, 1:38 pm)Love love love this place. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the lonches will make you feel like you’re in Mexico. Not to mention that the coffee is to die for. This is my favorite coffee shop in LA for sure.
