Idma did an excellent job cutting my hair exactly how I asked. She was also great about communicating when she was running a few minutes behind. I haven’t been able to find a stylist I’ve liked enough to return to since moving to this part of L.A., but I will definitely be going back to Idma.

Irma ROCKS! Gave my nephew the perfect Spring-in-his-step cut & evidently the conversation was as interesting as his 50s fade. Cheers to you & thank you for accommodating at the last minute and opening up earlier than usual.

But, pray, what's the story behind the salon's name?

    Continued success!

Julie is a master. She turned my box dyed red hair a very light blonde with ease. She is detail oriented, continually checked in to make sure my scalp wasn't burning. Absolutely recommend her for going blonde.

Great stylists, decent prices, amazing results. I found this placed based off of instagram profiles. My stylist did not disappoint. After my first time with her, I was hooked! I've been going to her ever since. I'm always very anxious to try a new stylist, but after the initial talk through, I could tell she knew exactly what I was looking for. She's been styling and coloring my hair for the last 8 months, and she's been prepping my hair color for my wedding day, and I couldn't be happier. So happy I found this place!

I am generally apprehensive about going to new places to cut my hair, particularly ones are in the $$-$$$ range. You may think that's a standard to pay for women's hair salons, you're right--but I don't have that kind of cash! I started going into K-town because it's cheaper and they usually understand my hair better. But going into K-town is sometimes a drag.

Last week was so damn hot, I decided to take the plunge and finally get my hair cut. I hadn't done it in months because I didn't want to go back to my last place nor did I want to pay a high premium at the places my friends would suggest in Silverlake, etc.

This place took me last minute in the afternoon. Jamie was really attentive and assured me she'd go slow with cutting my hair so it didn't feel too short. She is also just a nice person in general. I felt kind of bad because I have a ton of hair and the person with the appointment after me came in and I wasn't done on time. Jamie didn't rush me through at all, which was a relief and deserves and extra star on its own. Though she didn't get a chance to "style" my hair as much because of the other customer, I was generally happy with the cut, especially when I got home. I also think I should've kept with the original length of the hairstyle I found and gone shorter! I was just nervous with a new person, but turns out I had little to fear.

I would recommend this place to my friends. They are professional and honestly, compared to what you would end up paying at a lot of places in LA, I felt it was worth it. Paying $60ish for a haircut is not a lot when someone takes the time to understand your hair and you come out not needing that week-long "grow out" period. I'll probably go back for a trim and some color and will post a review of that!
