SOMA Tea & Mocktail - Irvine

This is by far my favorite boba place, and that is saying a lot for me. A lot of this is thanks to one of their employees, Morris. His service was impeccable and he even recommended me my new favorite drink, the passion fruit smoothie.

They may be famous for their Milk Tea, but their Matcha is what really impressed me! Normally the 50% is perfect, but with Boba I like to have it a little less sweet. Make sure to ask for Morris since he allowed me to make that custom adjustment (under 50% is not an option on the menu).

My friend Morris, who works there, put me on to this place. I’m not much of a tea person so I decided to give their smoothies a try. The grapefruit yakult smoothie is fire! 10/10 recommend

Their Signature milk tea is nice, but their Essential Milk tea fits my taste the best! They use Organic milk instead of creamer and honey instead of added sugars, giving it an overall more authentic taste. Definitely ask for Morris if he’s there, he explains many of the drinks in detail if you’re curious on how they make their teas.

This place has the BEST fruit teas in Irvine! My personal favorite is the Mango High Mountain Tea with basil seeds at 25% sugar. Morris took my order and his recommendations were spot on!
Quick tip: They always have samples of their Signature milk tea at 50%, so make sure to give it a try before ordering to get an idea of the sweetness.
