Overall, I had a pleasant experience. I enjoyed socializing with the staff, as well as the other patients at Alter. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends if they are in need of some mental health assistance! :-)

I walked into ABH desperately wanting to want to live and came out ready to face life and be present. The staff are knowledgeable, kind, and truly care. The journey is not easy, it is hard work and it's tiring, but if you're ready then consider Alter. They changed my life.

I did 31 days in their residential facility and it was just superb. I am a breast cancer survivor and had been through a lot of trauma and needed intense help and stabilization. This place stabilized me. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. They are very organized and professional. They really care. The therapist are amazingly good, caring and accommodating. I don’t have anything negative to say about my stay and help that I got from this place. Highly recommended if you are in need of stabilization and intense help.

My son had been in 4 facilities with no progress and we were beyond frustrated. His stay at Alter turned things around and he got on a path to understand his mental illness and learn to cope with it. The staff is caring, professional and responsive to the family. Yes, it is expensive but that's because they are heavily staffed, have beautiful, peaceful surroundings, have a chef so there's a focus on nutrition, and include ancillary therapies. It's worth it. Highly recommend.
