  Nice beach with a bunch of kelp washed ashore. Definitely very calm and not a lot of people around.
  
  Perfect to come sunbathe if you’re looking to have some privacy on the weekends.
  
  The bathrooms are close by the parking lot for easy access. The beach is also very clean.

  Stayed in space 422 and loved it! Super nice staff. We stayed a Sunday night so we had space between a neighbor and no one to right. A lot of open spaces. We will stay here again!

  This time of year 5/2019 it's not as busy and you are able to park inside the state beach parking area. Otherwise you have to park across the highway and walk far. Total kid friendly beach with great sand dollars to find.

  Huge, clean, beautiful beach. I've never seen it crowded here. Waves are generally easy and small. Lots of cool shells and rocks for kids to find. Sometimes there are great white sharks there. No kidding, look it up.

  Stayed two nights in the campground. It's very close quarters, sometimes difficult to maneuver around when others are unhitching their trailers, but once we got settled in, had a great time. The staff was friendly, helped me relocate to a beachfront spot after the first night. Kids found shells and sand dollars, played in the ocean, watched seals and dolphins, and the sunsets were amazing. It's a short drive to Coronado. Really can't wait to come back here.
