  I enjoyed the information I was given to help me in my recovery. I believe with the personal care I received helped me over the threshold to live a better life a life of sobriety, I don't think it would of happened if I was in a house of 20 or more people. I felt that in the small setting ( 6 people ) I received the help I needed. Awesome staff,great teachers and conveyors. I have 19 months of sobriety, my life began on 12/4/2017 and going strong,I attend AA meetings 6 out of 7 days a week
  I Secretary a meeting on Tuesday nite a 7pm. Thank you and California Highlands for a life I new I could have but didn't know how to go about it.

  First, the house, the grounds, and the rooms are beautiful. The view is amazing. The food was prepared by chef and was great or you could make what you wanted on your own from the plentiful food available. The counselor was a very kind and helpful man who helped me thru some very difficult times. The nurse practitioner prescribed me 2 meds that I'm still taking and I'm really thankful for her expertise. Overall, I had a great experience at California Vistas!

  Since I left this facility a little over 90 days ago. My life has changed around incredibly. I go to meetings almost twice daily. I have a sponsor that helps me with my disease on a daily basis. I go to the gym 5-7 days a week. I have lost almost 15 pounds since I left treatment. My wife & I are more in love with each other more than ever before. I see things a lot clearer now that the fog has lifted. I do volunteer work at my church. I help people when I can. I am loving myself today. I do not have to drink to have a good time. I am very content today. I have money in the bank today. I do not know when was the last time that I felt this good. I am healthy, and happy. I am 57 years old on a mission to live out the rest of my life sober & happy. I also found out that life is as difficult as we make it out to be. There are no guarantees in life just rewards. So if I ask myself everyday as I awake myself for the day that is ahead of me. " Terry, what are you going to do differently today? Am I going to show more gratitude today? Or I am I going to just sit back and let things happen by itself without no direction. Only I can be true to thyself. It is only because I choose this way of life comes the happiness, and joy that continues to bless me day by day.
