The Lord is truly in this place
About 10 years ago this was my church. It was the first church I remember going to and it still has a place in my heart. The last time I went there it was probably around 9 or 10 years old and I'm sitting here at 20 reminiscing. I've never experienced a church quite like how this church was 10 years ago but I considered them family. I remembered I thought it was amazing how everyone was my brother and sister. I remember Brother Tyrone and Sister Verna. They were expecting around the time I stopped going. I also remember the little Asian man who would sing. Every Week me and my sibilings would sit through worship and then all the kids would go down stairs for Sunday school with Sister Verna. There was probably only one or two other families with children so we were all in one small classroom. We would have monthly potlucks downstairs. I remember the nice lady who would make bead bracelets. I remembered I loved to look at the pictures on the board as you walked in and loved seeing my grandmas picture up. I remember playing with the toys in the baby room all the way in the back left. I remember trips to Las Palmas and midnight services. I felt a lot of love here and it's one of the reasons I'm still a believer. I don't know if anyone I knew still goes there but I wish them all the best. I think of you all often. Brother Tyrone, Sister Verna, and the rest of the congregation from 10 years ago, I'd like to thank you for helping shape me into the lady I am today. I'm not perfect but this was the beginning of my walk with God.
(P.S. If anyone happens to know if Brother Tyrone and Sister Verna (sorry, not sure if that's how they spell their name but I wasn't that great at spelling back then) are still there I'd appreciate it if you left a reply or review. I would like to visit them but I'm too much of a chicken to just show up because they might not remember or recognize me and on top of that they might be long gone.
