Highly recommend the trip to the top of Boucher Hill to see the view from the old fire lookout on a clear day. Plenty of diverse hikes that lead you along meadows, forests, berry patches, rivers/streams, and lots of animals and plant diversity as well. Even though it’s a small part of Palomar State Park, it has a lot to offer, including Doane Pond for fishing (although its honestly not the best stocked place but still fun casually). One of my favorite day trips away from San Diego city.
Absolutely stunning place to take a walk/hike.
Great valley wonderful hike. Hidden gems down every spur. Gigantic trees. Peaceful beautiful serene
Great hike, wildlife is pretty much everywhere deer, wild turkey, quail squirrels etc.
