I went with my dog and it was a nice open space area to visit.
One of the easiest ways to get a little piece of Nature in the middle of the busy 'burbs. Lots of poison oak off trail, so keep a weather eye out for it! A few funky trails to cruise around, some of 'em fairly steep. At various times of the year it can get super overgrown, but the trails have always been obvious enough to easily find.
Nice spot to let dogs roam, poop and glass so be careful.
This is a fantastically large and picturesque Open Space Park. The out of the way entrance and, to my mind, deliberate attempt to conceal the park from the general public, is somewhat disappointing. Nevertheless, this amazing little stretch of land on the Northeast section of Normal Heights is quite stunning if you catch it on the right day.
