Los Altos Veterinary Clinic

I took my two cats to Los Altos Veterinary Clinic for a rabies immunization, a last-minute requirement for our new apartment in Oregon. I was surprised to find that a time was available and that I could go into the exam room with my cats- both very promising signs as vets are working under pandemic conditions. Clinic staff phoned me in advance to get more details about the reasons for the visit, and request previous records.
We were brought into the exam room without any waiting. I was impressed with the new location, with the clinic staff and especially with Dr. Echerd’s exam of my cats. He detected a heart murmur no one had found before and explained what it could mean and how to follow it up in our new location. He emailed me 2 articles to help me understand how to monitor the condition. Dr. Echerd and his staff were caring and compassionate, and were determined to make our travels as safe as possible- I asked for suggestions about sedation and their detailed instructions worked very well. Other ideas for housing the cats during the 2-day trip were also extremely helpful for us on the road.
This was a one-time visit for us, but I can’t imagine how it could have gone better, and I have a long history of caring for cats. I highly recommend this practice for anyone who values a veterinary clinic where the staff are consistent, provide excellent care and take the time the get to know your pet and their needs.

LAVC has been taking care of my pets for 10 years, and the staff is always efficient, friendly, and effective. I love that the vets are all reasonable people, so they don't recommend tons of tests or procedures you don't need.

I transferred to this clinic with my vet and I am SO glad I did. All the staff members I have come into contact with either directly or indirectly are friendly and attentive and nothing seems to be too much trouble. They care for not only my Furbabies but me as well and go out of their way to do what they can to get me an appointment for my special needs cats as soon as possible if not sooner. Exceptional Customer Service. The clinic itself is easily accessible and well maintained and has a cozy, welcoming environment. The kitty room is excellent and treats are always available. I would not take take my precious Furbabies anywhere else. Only suggestion I would like to put out there is perhaps the owners would consider offering a discount to seniors.

Our three dogs have been Los Altos Veterinary patients for six years—we wouldn’t trust our pups with anyone else. In addition we moved Mom’s cats to Los Altos Veterinary and were very impressed and pleased with the care provided. The vets, front office and tech staff are knowledgeable, skilled and deliver on their promise of quality and compassionate pet care.

I have recently switched to Los Altos Vet Clinic, not because there was anything wrong with where I went before, but because Dr. Denise goes to the same dog play group as I do. Seeing her interact with dogs and humans alike, with such kindness and a down to earth kind of wisdom, I decided my dog would have less anxiety seeing a vet she knew and loved.

I’ve brought my new kitten there, and the whole experience was great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. There were no hidden fees, no unnecessary procedures resulting in a massive bill. Dr. Denise is straightforward, caring, and does her work with integrity and compassion.
