(March 27, 2019, 7:11 pm)This campround is one of a kind, at 7000 ft this was one hell a hike. I I started my one-night backpacking trip at the Chorro grande trailhead down off the 33, I ascended through typical chaparrel that turns into switchbacks up the steep mountain. It eventually turns to a conifirous forest and ends on the paved Reyes peak campround. The campground has amazing views that span the Ventura coast and back towards the Cuyama Badlands.

(July 24, 2017, 4:37 pm)I have been camping here for years and I will never get over it, the smell of fresh air and the pine trees is just amazing. And also, California State Route 33 that takes you up to the Pine Mountain Summit is worth the drive( if your not afraid of heights).With hiking trails and amazing views of the night skies, its all worth it. So if you plan on going up to Reyes peak Campground, pack enough supplies, drive safe and enjoy your stay and hope you like it
