A nice little musuem that warrants a once or twice go to. Knowledgeable staff that take you through a VERY interactive and kid friendly tour of fossils of dinosaurs and foot prints. Also, allows the opportunity for you to "help" uncover a fossil. Enjoyed the mixture of current alive non-extinct animals such as turtles and snakes. Overall, great small trip to do when looking for indoor places to explore on a sleepy weekend.
I love this place so much I got my husband and I a membership! Always great exhibits and fun things to look at and learn. My personal favorite is the gem and mineral section, which is easily the best collection I've seen outside of maybe a trade show.
Small collection but all high quality fossils and majoroty are local from the area. You can learn a lot about the dinosaurs that used to call Colorado home and when they were alive. There's plenty of staff to answer any and all questions too. Couple this with dinosaur ridge and you'll have a great day learning about dinosaurs
Tour was great! Guide was super informative and great for little and young kids. Really enjoyed the fossils and other historical finds. It was too cold to see the outside exhibits, but still highly worth it. Just a stones throw away from red rocks, it was so awesome and I will for sure be back to this amazing cultural experience.
Docking one star for lack of handicap accessibility, only lower inside of builing is wheelchair friendly. And outsides are mostly large gravel/rocks.
The guide/staff was very funny and knowledgeable, particularly the elderly gentleman who has the heart of a stud haha. He made me and my wife's day with his youthful, sarcastic approach that I genuinely appreciated.
