Tattoo Mafia sets the gold standard for the industry. The vibe in this shop is simply outstanding-starting with immaculate housekeeping, super friendly staff and artists who genuinely care about their clients. My experience began several months ago with a consultation with Chris. Chris gave me his undivided attention as he listened to my idea, asked questions and took notes. Fast forward to a week before my appointment when an email arrived with a design that only needed minor modifications, which Chris quickly adapted without complaint. Appointment day arrived and my nerves were immediately settled soon after arrival-a warm welcome and family atmosphere put me at ease. The full day appointment went by like a blink of an eye. The exceptional skills encompassed by this artist, along with his staff surpassed my expectations. I walked away with a showpiece that represents who I am, executed by Chris, a true professional and master in this field. Thank you, Tattoo Mafia!
Lisa was my tattoo artist and she was amazing. This was my first tattoo. From the moment I met her for our consultation she was honest and clear with what to expect. I was nervous because I wanted the tattoo on my sternum and she stated that was one of the most painful spots. I turned in a couple of ideas I had and we talked about my overall vision. When it was closer to the time of my session she sent me proofs of her design, she was super responsive and accommodating with the changes I requested. She was able to create what I had imagined my tattoo to look like. On the days leading up to my tattoo session she kept me calm by encouraging me and reminding me of what to do before, and what to expect during the session. It could not have gone better!! I RECOMMEND HER 100%. She kept me calm and relaxed, she worked flawlessly and swiftly. I made it through the session in less time then we planned and I truly believe it was because she prepared me and made me feel so calm. WORTH THE WAIT! Thank you so much LISA!!!!
I am not someone who normally writes a review unless I truly feel strongly about the business or service. When it comes to Tattoo Mafia, there are several things that stand out to me that make this the “go to” tattoo shop in Delaware, and frankly the entire Mid-Atlantic. Here is why:
1. Cleanliness. This Tattoo shop is immaculately clean. From the moment you walk in you get the sense that they take enormous pride in their work area and look to provide the cleanest and most safe environment for you to get your service completed.
2. Customer Service. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by a warm welcome and a willingness to help. If you are there for an appointment they always look to go above and beyond for your visit. They offer you coffee or water, and they will even provide you with menus to local restaurants so that you can purchase food and have it delivered to the shop. They take the hassle out of you having to order the food and they place the order and track it for you! When your service is complete, they ensure you have all the products and knowledge of how to take care of your new tattoo or piercing. They always look to make sure you leave 100% satisfied.
3. Talent. I personally have been tattooed by Ian three times now. He has made me feel incredibly comfortable every visit. He works hard to make sure you are completely satisfied, from the consult to the end product. He is very meticulous and takes tremendous pride in what he does. He also will make you laugh at least 100 times, which definitely helps take your mind off of the pain! It is not just Ian though that makes this shop. Chris and Lisa, the owners, are truly great people and they have built an amazing team. You can tell just from the culture and vibe they have in the shop, that they have worked hard to make sure their brand is represented well. If I didn’t have such a loyalty to Ian, I honestly would let anyone in that shop tattoo me, as they all have a loyal client base as well as a great portfolio.
If you are trying to decide where to get a tattoo, look no further; Tattoo Mafia is hands down where you need to go!
First time in a tattoo shop. Very clean and very professional. My husband and I chose Ian for a tattoo of interlocked wedding rings. We brought sample pictures and Ian helped us craft our own personal tattoo based on what we liked and disliked about the pictures that we brought. He also made suggestions about shading, size and location. He is an awesome artist. Ian and all the staff were friendly and cool. Would highly recommend!
