This place is my jam. They have interesting flavors, proper moist cakes with old-school frosting, and a great assortment of cheesecakes and cookies. It's always my go to place for ordering reasonably priced birthday cakes in DC.
It’s been over a year since I spent the summer living near this amazing establishment. My girlfriend and i still talk about and crave this cake all the time. The chocolate cake is to die for. It is moist and delicious. I tried a bunch of flavors and all of them were amazing. I can’t wait for the next time I can get there and I love that you can order by the slice.
If you haven’t tried it yet... do yourself a favor and try it you won’t regret it!
... your waistline might regret it
Ordered a lemon lavender cake for our wedding anniversary. The cake was little bit dense but it was still delicious. You could really taste the lavender and the icing wasn’t too sweet, it was just so perfect. Besides the taste what I like about this place is that you can customize for a reasonable price. Unlike other “boutique”ish shops you only need to let them know two days in advance, other places require 5 or 7 days in advance. I ordered 9” cake for 13 people and plenty leftover for the next few days. We also picked up strawberry, lemon, and chocolate cupcakes. Everything was delicious!!
You must try the peanut butter cookie! Best cupcake in town! If you still go to Georgetown cupcake, you obviously don’t know what’s a good cupcake taste like. The pastry here is carefully crafted with tenderness and love. The owner is an immigrant who made his dream come true.
