Hillsborough River State Park

We did the glamping experience through Timberline, it was fantastic. The restrooms are cleaned every morning, and they do it pretty good job of keeping things clean. This is a great experience for somebody just starting out with camping. I took my wife and our two young boys, we had a wonderful memorable time, and I will definitely come back again.

Great park with a history that goes back to the Great Depression. Developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during FDR's presidency, trails were cut and established and an impressive suspension bridge over the river was built.

A great way to spend the day or even a few hours - not bad at all for $6 a carload (at the time this was written). Be on the lookout for wildlife from alligators to turtles.
