Bay Pines VA Healthcare System

My husband was in the VA here
They were wonderful and compassionate. He eventually passed away due to Agent Orange. His last days here in hospice were peaceful and they took very good care of him and showed care for me. I think they are great.

Ok let me explain my review please. I was never a patient here, only drove around the campus. I am a veteran and am interested in possibly living in the Bay Pines area and using the VA. As other reviews said, a very random campus with spread out buildings. Seems Iike if you had a dermatologist apt and an apt at another clinic after- you would have a major walk possibly. They do have shuttles. That's what I personally saw. Otherwise I was somewhat impressed but at the same time some buildings looked very dated or even historic. The parking looked packed. I wish the VA would build a tall modern hospital tower with a parking garage. And do it properly with correct sized facilities and amount of staff, parking, etc.
