Bono's Pit Bar-B-Q

I love walking in to a barbecue place where you can look right into their brick enclosed fire and see the Meats they are cooking. You order at the counter, take a number, and wait to have the food dropped off. You can also order takeout, though their website was non-functional so ordering ahead wasn't really possible.

My big beef is the lack of baby back ribs on the menu, but their st Louis ribs are still good and so I thr pulled pork.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. We had been to this Bono’s previously and were not impressed. I hope it’s not a one off and they continue. Appetizer was hot and main course was delicious, tender and flavorful. We will be back to see if the consistency holds.

We haven’t eaten out much this past year. When we have, we found the food to be very disappointing. My Husband wanted BBQ and we hadn’t been to Bono’s since before the pandemic. I ordered the two meat dinner with turkey and beef brisket. My Husband ordered the ribs. The Brisket was not very good . I ask if I could have a rib in place of it. Not a problem, they gave me two ribs and even offered me 2 more. The ribs were delicious. The sides were very good also. We had squash for an appetizer and we were enjoying every bite. I can’t tell you when The last time we enjoyed a meal out as much as we did tonight. If you haven’t been there in awhile, give it a try.
