I have been anxiously awaiting their reopening. The variety is a little low right now. But everything is cheap.
Great place to find nice office and home furniture! Love the staff as they are always willing to help!
We enjoyed our brunch. The food was great and the service was good. We chose to eat outside and we were sat at a table for 4. Unfortunately, the table and chairs were very dirty (the server claimed that the busboy used a leaf blower to clear the walk, so it must have kicked up some dirt). That was disappointing, but It was great to be able to sit outside again.
The food was amazing, the drinks were great, and the service was outstanding. Melissa took care of us for the evening. She was intuitive, knowledgeable, and provided an overall great dining experience. I highly recommend the pimento and cheese. We will definitely eat here again next time we visit the area!
My husband got the 1910 house burger added blue cheese and it was already served with pimento cheese. The combo of cheese created an amazing ride for his taste buds to enjoy. Cooked medium!
I had the pecan crusted trout served over grits and green beans with bacon. The trout was cooked to perfection. I'm so happy we came here for a date night!
Absolute world class customer service.. treated like you belong and attentive to your needs throughout the entire experience... both me and my friend felt extremely welcomed and the love was just so present and so authentic... much needed after a rough day... and the smooth Motown grooves played on as you are and it just felt good... thanks so much.. I will be back!
UNC Surplus shopping is one of the things I miss most due to COVID. Al and Rose are amazing people who are knowledgeable and kind every time I go in. I sure hope that UNC is taking care of them. I've gotten so many things for my nonprofit photo booth and event management side gig here and two computers for my kids. There's always something I have to look up because I don't know what it is. I look forward to their reopening. There is nowhere better in the Triangle to buy filing cabinets, office chairs, desks, 3 ring binders, and misc office supplies.
NOTE: Following the UNC System directive to significantly reduce campus operations and services, in-person, non-essential services are being reduced. The Surplus Retail Store will be closed until further notice. Thanks for your understanding!
Came here for brunch with a friend for her birthday and everything was great.
Very interesting assortment of surplus items! If you are walking from the overflow R1/R2 lot, or R1 lot there is an opening in the fence to the left, close to the nearby building. You can walk straight through to the surplus store without walking on the road.
