We had the pleasure of staying at the prospector while in Idaho for a backcountry elk hunt. Even though it was late our hosts were more than happy to accommodate us, and we are very thankful! I highly recommend the prospector to anyone traveling in the area, you will not be disappointed with the accommodations or the service. Thank you guys for everything!

We were hunting in the Idaho backcountry and needed a place to stay late one night after hunting. We found the Prospector on a recommendation by someone in town and we’re super glad we found them. They are super accommodating and friendly. The rooms are nice, newly renovated, and have everything you need (including a room with a full kitchen).

They also own Wallula Coffee down the street which was perfect for grabbing some caffeine on the way out to hunt again. Do yourself a favor and grab a room and enjoy the historic town on your way in or out. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in town.

From start to finish had a great experience!! Reservation was easy to make, customer service was phenomenal, beautiful rooms in a historical location! Such a variety of rooms to meet the needs of customers! Clean, fresh and an awesome experience!! The managers are very personable and knowledgeable of places to go and things to do in this mountain community!! Love it and I will be back!!
