Went today with two grandkids:10 and 11. Spent hour looking for animals on sheet given on entry. Was so informative and fun. Free but encourage all to give donation.

Great hidden gem on campus! If you find it when they're open take a look. Great resources for teachers and groups as well!

I love this museum! We used their discovery boxes a few times over the past several years to supplement our homeschooling program. The process of acquiring these boxes was very easy and the staff was very helpful. The specimens available from this museum are top-notch and rare finds. It's amazing the number of specimens that are packed into the museum. In my opinion, a visit to this museum is well worth the trip. The discovery boxes are also beneficial if you have a student interested in natural history. When we used these boxes, they had boxes suited for the very young all the way through high school-aged students, so there was something for everyone.
