  am a regular ,for the most part all the regulars i have met for years live close by so come here often. For the most part all the regulars I meet have well behaved friendly dogs they all know each other. except for one couple. not from this part of town. they do not follow rules there dogs are NOT behaved, there male has attacked my dogs 4 times now, injuring my pup. they drive a black van with 3 unleashed dogs. I have met many dog owners and my puppers know them well,If you come here give that couple plenty of room his dog will attack yours .otherwise it is a VERY nice place to execise and let them run

  This is my regular walk park in the area. I love the little bit of challenge of the hills along the trail. The trail is a short about a mile loop but during that I'll get a little flat and hill action. Near the bottom section of trail after it has rained I'll see turtles and the like. It's a wildflower area.
  
  Though my favourite aspect of the park and what keeps me coming back to walk the trail is the puppies. They have an open leash for puppies here as long as you do it along trail etc. The thing is I don't have a puppy dog myself but I love animals of all types and so I love walking here because the dogs recognize a kindred spirit and will come up for a pet. :) So I get a walk and some puppy therapy if I get lucky.

  My sister has been telling me about Engelmann Park for years and we finally went this morning! This location did not disappoint. The views are unlike any other in the surrounding areas, offering a sweeping view of the Shiloh-Belleville (outskirts) area. The path we took measured 1.3 miles, there are two benches on the path (one covered by a pagoda), and it's a free-leash park! Free-leashing was my favorite detail, as I haven't seen that in any other park I've been to- ever! My pup enjoyed the trail a lot. 😁🐕
  
  Near the entrance to the park is an old German cemetery dating back to the 1830s. There is a private house on the property as well.

  Just want to thank Englemann Park for allowing dogs to be off leash. There are very few places well behaved dogs can go off leash. Please don’t change this.
  
  Visitors please use common sense. If your dog is NOT good with other dogs approaching them or if they are aggressive, it may be best to go to one of the million ON leash only dog parks.

  This is a good rural landscape park for walking. Dogs seem to love it too. It's former farm property now with walk paths and open vistas.
