Dr. Helveston is a most remarkable ophthalmologist as well as a very fine gentleman. He operated on our son, Kipling (Kip),several times in the mid 70s, beginning when Kip was 2.5 yrs old. Today, Kip is a practicing attorney in Austin, Tx. Were it not for Dr. Helveston’s swift action & expertise,I dare say Kip’s success would be far less. Dr. Helveston’s surgeries preserved Kip’s excellent vision, but also prevented the cosmetic ramifications that often accompany pediatric opthamalogic problems. Also, Kip was fortunate to be under Dr. Helveston’s care which prevented any psychological issues that occur when there are cosmetic issues. We were blessed to be one of Dr. Helveston’s patients.
