(September 7, 2018, 3:25 pm)I am a broker and work with many different consignee's for a large steel producer. I have been sending trucks to Steel & Pipe for over 3 years now. Karla, Chris and the office staff have always been very professional, courteous, flexible and more importantly...available at all times! They are a fantastic team of people to work with! They are really focused on getting drivers in and out as quickly as possible. Steel & Pipe has implemented significant improvements over the last few months creating a very efficient process to expedite inbound loads. Drivers that once did not prefer to deliver there are now more than happy to go knowing that they will not be there very long and can move on to their next load... keeping them moving and making money.
The transportation industry is facing big challenges in our current environment and it is now more important than ever to prevent trucks from sitting, waiting and burning critical hours that could effectively be used to service the industry. Steel & Pipe understands this and is building a model for other steel service centers to follow.
I spend little time coordinating and executing inbound freight for Steel & Pipe. They make it easy! If there are changes, they work with you to make it right for the driver. No headaches here. No constant phone calls asking about a truck status. IN AND OUT. The transportation business would be a fine tuned machine if all trucks delivered to a location such as this one. Couldn't be happier working with the crew here. Thank you for making this a great place to service! -

(August 31, 2018, 11:24 am)Just wanted to say thanks to these guys. They were quick to get me unloaded. I had two appointments their in August. Both times, the crews were quick(shout out to Matt Daniels first time in, and Jason and Josh in warehouse in Bldg 45. Jason and Josh were great to work with). Things have gotten much better since my last time here. Keep up the good work. Also, I’m with TMC Transportation.
