We love Playabilities! My son goes for speech and feeding therapy, we have seen such a big improvement on both areo. He now eats 3 VEGETABLES!!! 3!! He is always happy to go and he loves his therapist Emily. What I love the most about playabilities is that they really get to know my kiddo, and that Emily doesn't see him as a client but as one of her kiddos. I feel like she knows him as much as I do, his silliness and moodiness, and she is always happy to spend time with him. Honestly best thing that has happened to our family, even my 2 year old that doesn't have therapy and only stays in the waiting area, gets excited to go.
My son, Lincoln, has been going to see Mrs. Jess twice a week for a few months now. He absolutely adores her! I love how excited he is to go to “school” and learn with her. He probably doesn’t realize he is there to work because everything is so fun. Jess is genuinely excited to see him every time we go. Lincoln has already made great improvements in his speech. I’m so grateful for all the help and time Jess has put into working with him and helping his language grow.
They even make passing the time for parents enjoyable. There are plenty of books available for more information while you can spy on your child through a window. The massage chair isn’t bad either!
Both my son and daughter go to playABILITIES for speech and OT services. The therapists are so wonderful! My kids are always so excited to go play, and their speech has improved SO much since starting here. I am so happy we found this place for my kids!
From the moment we entered for evaluation, the facility was impressive. Comfy seating in the waiting area, complimentary beverages, and a one-way window looking into the gym. The gym area contains a large number of gross motor activities and is easily my son’s favorite area. The smaller rooms contain everything for fine motor manipulation, feeding therapy, calming/soothing, speech therapy, and everything in between.
Jeannie coordinated our intake and insurance options with impressive speed when compared to other therapy providers. We were paired with a therapist who remembered small details during our evaluation. Jennafer conducted our evaluation professionally and in a manner that indicated she’d worked with similar children and knew how to proceed.
Our standing schedule was given to us within 3 business days and our goals/progress benchmarks were set shortly after. We added Mary for overall sensory processing in addition to Jennafer for feeding therapy. I have been beyond impressed with their overall working knowledge and their willingness to tackle new quirks as they appear. They are amazing with communication and seek to educate the parent as well as the child.
Playabilities has been a godsend. After aging out of another program, I became quickly overwhelmed with the number of options, the long wait lists, and the ignorance of other providers. Playabilities has been prompt, communicative, and informative. I will happily recommend Playabilities to anyone looking for help with feeding, sensory processing, and other similar issues.
My child has been attending Playabilities for probably close to two years now (to help with mixed expressive-receptive communication disorder) and I absolutely LOVE them. My child mainly works with Emily K and she is absolutely fantastic. She is very patient, understanding, helpful, kind and knowledgeable of the needs of my child. She's always willing to answer my questions, provide feedback and be a general mentor to not only my child but myself as well. I dread the day that we are no longer able to work with her due to our relocation. Spending time at Playabilities is probably the best part of my childs week. While I don't know the names of the other language therapists that my child has worked with, they all seem to be wonderful, patient, caring people and I certainly appreciate all the hard work and dedication they put in with all the kids.
