Dr. Stephen U. Stechschulte, MD

I was really scared when I went in for my cataract surgery. I needn't have been. Dr. Stechschulte was amazing. He made me feel so important and comfortable. He talked with me during the procedure and I felt very little discomfort if any.I highly recommend this doctor to anyone, especially someone like me who was so afraid. I definitely see a lot better. (Even on day 2)!

Dr. Stechschulte has a great memory- remembers past discussions, family members, is conservative in his treatment, listens, is overall an excellent physician. His assistant is top-notch, too!

I always have a great experience when I visit Discover Vision's Leawood office. The staff is very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Dr. Stechschulte takes time to explain what's going on and encourages any questions. I have been with Dr. Stechschulte for about 6 years or so and am very happy with his service because he tries to do what's best for you.

He was easy to talk to. He took time to explain options and the pros and cons of each. There was no pressure to make a decision. He told me to go home and think about it. I also want to compliment his staff. The person who did my exam was friendly and patient. Very nice to work with.
