Morel's Restaurant

Very good food... onions rings are the best!! And the views of the water outstanding.

I loved it. We had a seat by the window and enjoyed watching the wildlife (ducks) outside. It began raining 🌧 and we loved the view and the rain against the windows. The food was good!! I had the chicken with the creamed spinach. Delicious. The meat wasn't dry. We also had the seafood platter with oysters. Delicious. Another had the baked fish with pecans. She loved it. I'll be back definitely.

The welcome was very friendly and we were sitted promptly. The restaurant is located in a very picturesque area. The food was good and I would visit here again.

Had a wonderful lunch at Morel's Restaurant. The Redfish Grand Isle and the Shrimp & Eggplant Napoleon were delicious. Loved the garlic mashed potatoes, too. Always a great meal at Morel's.

I and girlfriend stopped in at Morel's Restaurant for an enjoyable and tasty meal on a beautiful Saturday. We were impressed with the surroundings, the river, the people talking and laughing and the waitress was very attentive. We were excited to have a meal fitting of such a quaint town as New Roads. After a short wait and an appetizer our meal arrived. It was not as we had expected. The portions were small for the two of us. Even the appetizer portions were puney. The meal was tasty, the service and the atmosphere were great. We expected to pay an average price for our meal but we're totally shocked when we saw the cost of $91.00. This was totally unacceptable given the fact of very small portions.
I lived in New Roads for 11 years and was a police officer there for 2 years. I had no idea that New Roads had become a tourist trap. Morels has been removed from my list of restaurants to dine.
