(August 1, 2018, 11:29 am)My daughter decided to switch from playing the flute to french horn. She began working with Mr. Steve about a year and a half ago. She had never even held a french horn before and now she is playing songs like Phantom of the Opera and Beaty and the Beast. Not only has he helped her learn to play the french horn but he has given her an understanding of complex rhythms and a little bit of music theory. He is kind, motivational and makes learning an instrument a ton of fun!

(March 4, 2016, 10:16 pm)Stephen has had a tremendous impact on my son's interest and enthusiasm for playing the trumpet since becoming his teacher. My son enjoys playing a variety of pieces that are lively and engaging as well as appropriately timely for his 4th-grade tastes. Stephen encourages the appreciation of a wide-range of musical genres and is accommodating to his students' interests. Feed back is provided in a clear and supportive manner making it easy for a youthful student to achieve success and understand how the lesson relates to successfully playing music of the student's choice. We find it an added bonus that Stephen plays with the Spires Brass band, providing students with an opportunity to see professional performers of the instruments they are learning.

(March 3, 2016, 4:40 pm)Mr. Steve is such a wonderful teacher and mentor to our 2 boys....with only receiving 1 day of instrument band lessons in their public school per week his private lessons have really paid off! Both boys age 10 and 12 look forward to their instrument lessons each week, and we the parents enjoy hearing their progress. We are so thankful to have found Mr. Steve!!! Highly recommended! A+++
