    Original Country store from the 19th century...even smells authentic

    Step into the 1860s when you cross the well-worn threshold and visit this store frozen in time. Whether you're looking for a period hat or shirt (they've got `em), a hand-made broom, authentic to the era, or something else entirely, this "Dry Goods & Mercantile" store has something to interest just about anyone.
    And, if you've got an interest in the local history, make sure you have some time before you mention that since you'll get a delightful telling of all sorts of events that took place just around the corner or up the road a piece.

    Neat place with a lot of history. The owner is very knowledgeable about the area and give us a 30 minute history lesson while we shopped around and bought some soap.

    Not a lot of items for today's shoppers, but if your looking for historical items, this is the place to go. You wont find this kind of stuff in any other stores.

    Building is lighted by oil lamps. When you walk in the door, it feels like you stepped 150+/- years back in time.

    Very nice store. Friendly and informative sales person, very knowledgeable about the things he sells and the era they come from. All kinds of great civil war soviniers and other antiques from that time line.

    Absolutely a must see. Incredible factor in history that is not well known. This location is unspoiled by tourism. Few amenities but jam packed with charm and history.
