I've lived in Cheverly for 6 years and always had a positive experience with our police department. I've worked with them several times: I live on the main road and have had to deal with two of my cars being totaled and another car ending up in my front yard. The two times Cheverly police came, it was dealt with promptly and professionally. The third time, the Cheverly police were unavailable, so a PG County cop was sent- he was awful, was unsafe in how he stopped his car, wrote the report incorrectly (I called his supervisor and made them send a different officer to correct it), etc. Cheverly police do a great job looking out for our homes, communicating with the public, and watching out for our kids- especially on Halloween and "ride your bike to school day". I am happy with their service in our community.
Excellent service! While the people in the administrative building next door were downright rude, the people I dealt with here were friendly and helpful. They helped me figure out some things to do with fire safety before my husband and I sold our house. Be careful not to walk into the building next door and ask how to get to this department because they won't tell you!
