  Being from the NJ/NY area, I have found it very difficult to find good pizza in Maryland. My husband and I went to Mama Lucia's in College Park, MD on a whim while out shopping in the area. When I say I'd rather eat the cardboard box pizza comes in for most pizza places in MD is a testament of how disappointed I've been. But this place.... the pizza was absolutely delicious and felt like home to me. We ordered a pizza with pepperoni, ham, and bacon. I literally closed my eyes and sighed in happiness as I ate the first bite.... because it's been more than 20 years since I've had a good pizza. We took our leftovers home, and I promise you, it will not see the inside of a microwave. You don't do that to good pizza.... you put it in the oven.
  
  On my way out, I informed, who I believe was the owner, that I was from NJ near NY, and that I'm judgemental of my pizza, and that it was the best pizza I've had since I've moved to Maryland over 20 years ago. He told me it was a recipe of his friend back in the Bronx. Thank you for making me feel at home!

  My first time here. From entering into the door, the appetizer, the main entree’, the customer service was phenomenal! Ordered the calamari for a starter and seafood asparagus for the main entree. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back!

  The salmon was delicious and the staff was so nice! Portions were large and they accommodated our group of 9 no problem

  Picked up a carry-out pizza from here while we were recently vacationing in the area. Super friendly staff greeted us and welcomed us right away (both the woman behind the counter and the teen-boy busing tables). There were multiple booths full of families or retired-looking patrons having pizza or sandwiches or salads. Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves. Nothing fancy for the decor but appeared clean. Family-run feel at this location. Pizza was delicious. Crust was perfect. 14 inch fed two adults and a teen.
