A beautiful place with lots to see, plenty of places to sit, and all the sounds of nature you can take in
Broadmoor is a magical place in any season. One of my favorite open spaces in Massachusetts with varied beautiful terrain, numerous water features, and wildlife.
Beautiful dog-free bird sanctuary with marsh, meadow, and forest habitat. Boardwalks for viewing wildlife. Pretty reliable place to see eastern bluebirds, assorted herons, and American woodcock (in the right season).
I used to live around the corner from Broadmoor, and loved to visit as a kid. I just visited again for the first time in over a decade, and the trails are just as cool I remember. The new trail house is beautiful, and the walkways are well kept. Even in the colder weather, this spot is well worth the trip.
Great hiking with water all around. Boardwalks over the marsh. A milk pond with small waterfalls. Orchards and Fields. The Charles River. This place packs so much in. This Mill trail out and back takes an hour to an hour and a half. But you can go much longer if you have the time.
