El Mexican Restaurant of Hastings

Honestly, probably the best Mexican food I have ever had! Their chips and salsa alone could be world famous.

My friend and I ate there for the first time a couple weeks ago and we're very impressed by the decor of the restaurant along with the quality of the food. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My only minor complaint is that I had the David Special, which is chicken over rice with cheese sauce and in my opinion, they kind of skimped on the cheese sauce. In other words, it was a little on the dry side even after I ordered an extra little container of cheese to pour on top of the entree. So my only suggestion for this dish would be that they be a little less stingy with the cheese sauce. Overall though, would highly recommend!

Such great food! We eat Mexican food all the States and this was some of the best flavored steak fajitas and enchiladas we have had. Great service, friendly and great price!!

An authentic charm, a found gem, my luck holds out, I feel blessed to have experienced the flavors brought out in the breakfast scrambler with a few unique additions that I suggested, like homemade salsa poured generously over it. I am saddened that I cannot make this my new daily ritual, but will certainly be back to try this place again service was excellent. they have an outside patio, we ate inside. it was clean, our waiter who may have been an owner treated us to his warm personality which matched my own, and I was so thankful to be dining in and tasting flavors again. SO GOOD! yummy!
