Fort Snelling State Park Entrance Office

A great spot in the metro area to photograph wildlife.

Very nice little gift shop at the first small building where you would pay your entrance fee or purchase a year-round vehicle sticker if you don’t have one or need to renew yours. I loved how informative the woman was here and how hard the public servants work here! Go State Parks!

Awesome park. Lots of great trails. Boat launch. Walk or ride bicycle. Lots of wildlife if you are there at the right time.

Gorgeous location. Beautiful lake. Scenic 2.14 mile path circles the entire lake. Partially paved and partial gravel. Small park my kiddo played at with 2 tire swings. Swimming spot sectioned off with sandy beach. Great views of planes approaching with landing gear down.

I was in town for work, and on my way to the airport I saw a sign for this park. I had a couple of hours before my flight so I decided to check it out. The staff at the visitors center was very friendly and helpful. The park has several nice trails. There are paved and unpaved trails. A few spots that were great for fishing. It had been raining so some of the trails were a little muddy. I would definitely recommend to anyone that has some time before their flight to stop by. I preffered spending the time there than just waiting at the airport and the airport is only 5 minutes away.
