Waterfall Park

  Waterfall Park is a small park in Bass Pro Lake with access to Independence greenway. Despite the name, there isn't a waterfall in the park itself, though it's not far. To see the waterfall, head south from the park to East Bluff Drive and follow the road east a short ways to the waterfall. The westbound lane, closest to the lake is closed to vehicular traffic, so safe to walk in the road. You could also see the waterfall by driving eastbound on East Bluff Drive.

  Always a fun place to take the kid and dogs and just enjoy a nice stroll around. Also a nice place to see ducks and geese while enjoying a picnic or grilling with the shelter house...

  This was our first visit to this park. The playground is primarily geared towards 3 and up probably, but both our 1.5 and 3 year olds enjoyed it. There were restrooms close that we're in decent condition, picnic tables, a walking trail, and lots of shade. Just a short walk away was a dock with geese too. I left one star off because the sign is half covered in overgrowth and the waterfall is difficult to find.

  Beautiful fall day. Lots of families enjoying the park. This is one of our favorite places to take the grandchildren.

  Very shady! Nice place to go on a hot day. There is a lake with geese, playground, picnic table, public grills and even a rock kids can climb. Definitely a quiet place to take the kids.
