(March 15, 2022, 1:15 pm)Great rink to have in the neighborhood! Found it was not being used Saturday afternoon, yay, and was clean despite the nearby trees. Some minor cracks in the surface, but level and okay to roll over. Took my 10 & 4 yr olds to test out our new skates and had a blast. There are bleachers and parking.

(August 31, 2021, 11:45 pm)I had fun skating in this park tonight, for the first time ever, but...it should have lighting, there are NO lights lighting the floor...better parking that's NOT in front of someone's house...and somewhere nearby to pee...
The floor in Holmes Park is bigger and better for skating than the Bandstand in Swope Park but there are hockey goals on each end that can't be removed and that really sucked, I saw several people either near miss them or actually ran into the goals...
But I can skate and I have fun ANYWHERE I can skate and I had big fun skating in Holmes Park and I'm going back!!!! -

(August 31, 2021, 11:13 am)I’m so thrilled they fixed the cracks and repainted this outdoor skating rink! There is also a drinking fountain and a porta-potty. It’s absolutely perfect for roller skating. Just add music.
