  This school is an amazing learning experience for my children. They are excited to go to school every day and are learning far more than when in a more "traditional" classroom. Having daily interactions with farm animals and enjoying the outdoors is a plus! I am so happy to have found Clay Platte. I must say, however, that as a current parent it makes me sad to see former employees (and their family members) rate the school poorly due to their disagreement with the current administration. I understand change is hard and if you're not on board with that change it's okay to part ways, but to focus your frustration in a public way such as Google Review is unfortunate for the rest of us who think the school is an excellent option. If the kids are happy, safe, and learning - isn't that what it's all about?

  They were able to make room for us in the middle of the year and we've all been very happy with the move. Every teacher we've worked with is great and the administration is accessible and easy to work with. I feel my son has truly blossomed in the open loving environment provided at Clay Platte.

  Clay Platte is a wonderful school with amazing teachers. Our son has really grown in all areas since enrolling there. I love that everyone, even those in other classes, know our son's name. Students wave and say hello to him as we walk by. If you ever have a concern the teachers and administrators all work double time to help you feel comfortable and happy. It is truly a community and I feel comfortable and happy leaving my son there everyday. He goes to the green room and the teachers are lovely and helpful.

  Clay-Platte Montessori is an absolute heaven-on-earth experience for me and my children, daily. I have loved watching the families come and go, the children as the grow, learn and absorb the world around them; the farm life cycle up close, all while the seasons throughout the year thrive on the 10 acres of pure nature... the school is a rare gem. In my experience as a teacher and a parent at the school, I have done my best to offer my help in order to support the community, knowing that my part is important - the community cannot thrive without each part making up the whole, and each part contributing - yes there are imperfect people working and living all around us, and I feel the way in which the community handles the every day ups and downs as well as the major instances, is truly something almost magical. Clay-Platte Montessori is very much a place that I want to be a part of, and I want and need for my children to experience life as a member of this type of community, which will cause a desire to contribute and put forth their very best towards the greater world outside the community, which in turn helps others while they learn themselves, all these great and wonderful Montessori ideas. The school policies and procedured in place are well-thought out, and are always being evaluated, revised and revisited as necessary. The PTO organization is a lovely group if supportive, caring adults that value the children and community as a whole. The teachers are continually perfecting their skills, knowledge and training in order to best serve the community. The owner is caring, compassionate and works well with others. I love CPMS!
