Update 2 - Came out right at 9am Saturday morning. Micheal (The Owner) as well as his co-worker (his name is eluding me!). They were very knowledgeable and helpful. Gave us great advice and information. I look forward to getting the quote and moving forward with the work.
Update 1 - The owner reached out to me this evening to discuss the situation. There was some miscommunication when scheduling and what I described above is not the norm. We have rescheduled our appointment to Saturday. They are also going to look into why this miscommunication happened. I appreciate how quickly this was resolved and look forward to moving forward. I’ll update again after the appointment and work has been done.
I chose to call after reading some glowing reviews on here and on FB. They responded right away and scheduled an appointment. To be honest this is better than most who didn't even return my phone call. However, I give them 3 stars because I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago for today 07/03/19 at 11:30am. At noon time I decided to call to see what was going on. They tell me that they're 3 appointments behind and won't be getting to me today. They can reschedule for a week later.
I have a few problems here. I took time off of work to be home for this. They don't bother to call me to tell me they're behind. (I wonder how long I would have sat there?) I find it very unprofessional. I asked them no to schedule a new appointment, I'll be going elsewhere.
They may do good work, which I cannot attest to, but the lack of customer service makes me want to go elsewhere. FYI to all.
We had them come out and inspect our chimney after a couple other companies said we needed the whole thing rebuilt due to cracks. Veterans did a visual inspections and said I do not think that is the case but to be safe sent a camera down and turns out the chimney was safe to use and they saved us around $12k to rebuild it!!
My brother also used Veteran's to service his pellet stove and was very please with their customer service and work! We would both highly recommend them!
I did not have the experience of working with Veterans at my home, But I did call to have my pellet stove serviced. I left a voicemail and Rose called back right away, They could not service my pellet stove as they are not the dealer for my brand but she had a phone number of some one who would be able to help me. This companies customer service is wonderful!
4 stars instead of 5 only because 5 stars would be beyond amazing. Michael visited my home to have a look at my chimney, which I was confident needed to be relined to my pellet stove. Michael gave me a written estimate and scheduled the work. Job was done completely and on schedule. The billing was the exact amount per his estimate. More than completely satisfied with the work, the professionalism, and everything about Veteran Chimney. Great job!
I wish I could give them 100 stars. Mike called me in the morning to offer an earlier time slot. Upon inspection, he informed me the chimney didn't need to be swept until the spring since it was already relatively clean. He also said the fire box was in decent shape and just needed minimal mortar. He saved me $250 off my quoted price. He was incredibly polite, gentlemanly and professional. I would recommend Veterans Chimney a thousand times over. Thank you, Mike!
