Wave Resort

When we first arrived at the Wave Hotel, we were greeted by the front desk, staff very warmly, which set the tone for our entire stay. The room is luxurious and all its amenities. The front desk, staff, specifically, Elissa and James, went above and beyond to make our stay amazing!! They are a wonderful representation of this incredible hotel. The spa and its staff were wonderful and kind as well. They too went above and beyond especially Rena, Maddy and Donna. The beds are amazing!! The pillows are plush yet firm. The shower is so special and spa like. We had an oceanfront room with an incredible panoramic view!! There was a very unfortunate encounter when we were checking out from the person who was at the front desk at the time. We checked out early Sunday morning. Had we encountered this person upon check-in or during our stay, we would’ve gotten a very bad representation of the hotel as this person was cold and unfriendly, and did not make us feel like welcome customers. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, and perhaps this woman has personal problems that are really serious and so she just could not offer the kind of customer service that we got from the other front desk staff. It left us with a horrible feeling when we checked out and we were stressed out and it almost undid our entire good feeling for our stay. I hope that this person realizes her mistake and can maintain the good feeling that the other staff gave us, or we feel she could turn customers away.

From the moment we called to make the reservations Patrick and Kate were outstanding. The property is simply beautiful, they offer the best environment and accommodation. The room is very clean and neat and beautifully maintained. Our view was partial and still gorgeous! Kate went above and beyond to accommodate us. My husband really loved the soaps and body wash and she went above and beyond to help us purchase them. Patrick gave us a recommendation for a beautiful breakfast place, the turning point, where we had a beautiful breakfast. Cannot wait to go back again! Our daughter works in the hotel industry and we really respect all of the hard work and efforts that hotel employees handle and make it appear effortless... kudos to the entire team at The Wave....Excellent job!

My husband and I just had our wedding here this past weekend. This magical location helped us have the best reception ever! I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Friends and family are raving about the service and the food. This stunning, beach front location was everything and more! The rooms are absolute perfection. Beautiful details, gorgeous views, luxurious bed and bathroom. All in all we had the best weekend!

Best hotel ON the beach in NJ. Not a motel without any services. Not a beat up former chain hotel, not 5 blocks away from the water, not a nasty moldy/smokey/skuzzy AC casino. Not full of sand, dirt, or mold.

Just a nice place.

That said it's not a great value. For the prices they charge it should be top tier all around. Beach towels should be perfect and not worn. (And available at the beach so quests don't have to walk back through the lobby to get them). The menu at the pool bar is tiny, like 5 beers, 5 cocktails, etc but they still manage to run out of half the things. Lots of "this is nice. But..." experiences

For the price it should be better.

But it's the best we've found after years of trying.

I booked this hotel for myself and a friend to celebrate her 50th and I Highly recommend it. Very clean, updated modern decor, great bedding, and AMAZING views from the oceanfront room. The staff was professional, efficient, kind and very welcoming. The front desk manager Patrick Muir went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and then some. The addition of a note and chocolates in the room for my friend was a wonderful extra. The cafe downstairs that’s open very early for coffee and muffins was so convenient, and lunch at the Catina that’s also attached was delicious! There’s a whole pool area with views of the beach very cool, and there’s separate beach area for only hotel guests is set up with chairs and umbrellas that was awesome. This has now become our go to at the Jersey shore.
