Nice, well maintained boardwalks make an easy home with kids. Lot's of birds to see from the observation blind.

There are gravel and wood trails too blinds. The blinds offer expansive views. If you're patient and lucky enough you can see water fowl

When its one of those days you feel restless this is a great destination. I've been going here since the 70's. Never gets old. Different by the day,weather,season. Great for a hike or to go birding. Visit the Raptor Trust. Different trails and blinds.

There are boardwalk trails that wind through the woods that are wheelchair and handicap accessible. I walked here with my kids running ahead and with my 96 year old Grandma no problem. My favorite season to walk the trails is July & August when the Cattails are in bloom from the bird watching stations. My son calls it a "Hot dog Plantation" too funny! Don't expect to see Wildlife even though it is a Wildlife Preserve. Your best bet is the turtles off of the boardwalk trail on the right, then left to the bird watching spot. On your way there you will see Turtles among the water. You may see a few birds but don't expect to see anything else as it is just too wet. It is peaceful and a nice walk to take that anyone can do. It only takes about 15-20 minutes for the main trail depending how fast you walk . I even come here in the winter after a snow to walk the boardwalk trails. It is like a winter wonderland!
