(June 28, 2021, 4:05 pm)I was assigned to Niagara Falls Air Base, New York, in 1968-69. I was the NCOIC of the 4621st Air Base Support Group (Life Support Section). We supported the Air Force Reserve unit at the base. That unit flew the C-119 "Flying Boxcars" at the time. This is a terrific base. Great area and the people welcomed the personnel at the base. Unfortunately, my tour only lasted one year!! Next assignment: Bien Hoa Air Base, RVN.....nothing at all like Niagara Falls AB!!

(June 21, 2016, 5:43 pm)My Father worked here from 1955 to 1970 worked in shipping and receiving, he also built the little sheds that the fighter jets would scrafe and blow up
Dad also was a pitcher for the base fast pitch softball teams three in all and in 1964 at the age of Nine Dad brought me to work with him and after work he had to play three games and I went to the base gym this one day and met a pilot who in turn got my dad's permission to take me up in a fighter jet for a ride
I'll never Forget that day. Dad was a WWII Veteran Combat Medic Surgical Tech from the 99th Inf. Div. 924th Field Artillery and his Brother John Roslick is MIA Bataan WWII
