Reforma Dermatology

Dr.Patel is my new dermatologist and the reason why is simple, he is knowledgable in his field of expertise (dermatology). I saw a PA last week at my former dermatology office (Elisha Grauman, Vanguard dermatology) who misdiagnosed me with vitiligo. I went to see her because I noticed some light spots on my face which I thought was best to have examined, as I have a parent who does have vitiligo. She did an exam using a wood's lamp. She told me it seems to be vitiligo, and proceeded to tell me that if it progresses I would need to do light therapy. Now luckily I knew I needed a 2nd opinion ( to be fair I had no idea she was even a PA, no offense to PA's) so I went to see Dr. Patel. Within seconds of looking at my face he knew exactly what I actually have, which is Pityriasis Alba. Being misdiagnosed is fairly common, but when it comes to serious conditions such as vitiligo, it can be emotionally damaging. Dr. Patel not only provided me with relief, but his bedside manners were great. Most doctors nowadays seem like they're in a hurry to get to the next patient, but Dr. Patel's composure was calm, and cool the entire visit. He cares about his work and patients, and well this is the story about why he's my new dermatologist, and should be yours too!

If your considering changing to or seeking a great dermatologist, you won't be disappointed by Dr. Patel. He has great bedside manner, very down to earth, understands your problems and is extremely knowledgeable. My prescription insurance carrier was giving me a hard time approving a certain prescription. Dr. Patel personally spent many hours on the phone with them ironing out the issues so that I can get the latest and best medication on the market. I cannot thank him enough for effort he has put into my healthcare.

Hands down the best dermatologist in the Brooklyn/Staten Island area. Dr. Patel, is the man! He’s easy to talk to, funny & very helpful. I went to him because I recently got a new tattoo and after a couple of days it turned red and I wanted to make sure it wasn’t infected. He gave me 2 creams to put on the tattoo and within a couple of days the redness had gone away and the tattoo looked just as great as it did when I got it done. I would definitely recommend Dr. Patel for any skin issues you may have.

Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable and helpful. First time I went in he spotted my problem just by looking and immediately assigned me treatment. After following his regiment for a couple of months, it has completely healed. He also was able to check several other areas and prescribed medications for those areas. I highly recommend
