  Beautiful park right on the Long Island sound. Right next to Playland amusement park. Views across the sound to Long Island. Great for walking. Free parking during off season.

  I'd give this place five stars but the parking is very expensive, and there is virtually no street parking anywhere nearby. It seems to be the type of place that is very much "for" the people who live nearby – but it's beautiful here. Well manicured lawns, a cute little duck pond, and the beach is great (but you have to pay to step onto the beach). I'm surprised they don't charge you to breathe their Rye air...

  Very family friendly. The sand is kept nicely clean, the water is a but dirty with debris but not terrible. We really enjoyed our time there. I did not buy anything, so im not sure if they have/sell food. Bring your own umbrellas and chairs; no rentals. Coolers are checked at the entrance, no alcohol or glass bottles. Overall it was a pleasant surprise.

  An early morning dash to hit the pier and enjoy a few hours of fishing with the sun out and the wind blowing. After a few hours hit the park or get something to eat. A great spit to bring the family for the summer with the beach only feet away.
