I think this was hands down the best fried fish and shrimp I’ve ever had. Both were seasoned exceptionally well. I didn’t care too much for the steamed seafood sauce but that fried seafood was AMAZING! I love that they serve drinks as well. You won’t get drunk off the frozen margarita but it’s quite tasty. George was the cook when we were there and I would’ve shaken his hand for frying up that terrific seafood if I wasn’t stuffing my face. The food was also very fairly priced. I’m from Florida and you don’t find many places where you can get 4 pieces of fish, 10 pieces of shrimp, and fries for $20. The food and the service was exceptional and I can’t wait to fly back out to Charlotte.
Let me start with the staff! George was phenomenal! Not only did George take great care of us, but he also suggested things to try that were simply delicious. What a great guy! Kristaceans please recognize how much of an asset he is to your establishment. What a Gem!
The food - what can I say!!... I found my spot! The shrimp were perfectly seasoned and fried, the fish was tender and the fried lobster was soft and buttery inside with a nice crunch on the outside. Simply delicious. Next time I'm doing the Boil! My cousin had it and he said it was delicious.
Definitely recommend!!
The food was so delicious and well seasoned, I'm talking about slap yo momma good. I had garlic parmasean grilled shrimp, fried fish and the red velvet waffle. We were in seafood paradise. We walked in with pep in our step and wobbled out of there cause we just couldn't stop eating. Well worth the money. We will definitely be back!
This place is amazing! First the customer service was great. I advised to the woman who was taking my order that this was first time there and she was very nice explaining how things worked there. I ended up getting the Shrimp and Crab boil lunch special. She recommended the garlic parmesan sauce which was delicious! My food was well season and hot. I enjoyed every bite! Love that this is a black-owned establishment. I will be back again for sure. Great job!
Great find in Charlotte! After getting stuck in Charlotte due to delayed flights, we were put up in the Hyatt that happens to be next door to this place. Recommended by two of the hotel’s employees we figured we’d give it a shot. The fish and chips were awesome! Huge portions. Yummy sauces. And extremely friendly service! Not pictured are the passion fruit and mango margaritas which were a perfect compliment to our dinner. It was also very reasonably priced, especially for the quality and portion size. If I’m ever back in Charlotte, I’d definitely stop back by to get dinner here!
