My husband and I really enjoyed our two night stay at this beautiful home! The owner was so gracious by giving us a tour and history on the home. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We even had wine and snacks left out for us! Martha the owner and her incredibly sweet daughter were very accommodating! We will definitely come back!!
I am checking out today and will miss this place a lot. The room was so clean and the bed was very comfortable. This is my first time staying at a bed and breakfast instead of a hotel and I absolutely loved it. If I’m needing a place to stay in Elizabeth city in the future I will be back. I wish I had read the history of this place earlier in my stay- it was completed in 1941. The library is wonderful and I wish I had more time to sit and read all of the old National Geographic’s. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. I don’t know what it’s like during the summer but I am very glad that I came this time of year- no mosquitos!
Thank you for the wonderful stay!
Thank you so much for housing us and our kids while hurricane Dorian was still wrapping up on the Outer Banks. The house is beautiful, breakfast was fantastic. thank you so much again for having us.
Very clean and the bed was so comfy.
We totally enjoyed our night stay . Breakfast was tasty. The open snacks and drinks in the hall outside our room was wonderful since we checked in late. The morning was a delight looking out at the pond and the river beyond...
The host is amazing! Very helpful, and a wonderful cook. Each house has its own smell, I’m sure some of the people talking about the smell live in a house with its own smell! That’s just what happens with older homes. The smell didn’t bother us. It’s a beautiful property, we didn’t want to leave! But we had to go back to MA to see our kids. Thanks for a lovely stay.
