Great Experience
Dr. Ruffolo was thoughtful in his approach and wanted to hear from me about my goals and my concerns before we discussed the prospect of surgery. My experience was 100 percent positive. I cannot say enough good things about him and his team. My results have far exceeded my expectations. (I am walking without pain or a cane after just 6 weeks following total hip replacement/anterior).

Went to Dr. Ruffolo for a second opinion regarding osteoarthritis in my hip. He listened attentively and was able to tell me everything I was experiencing at the time. In addition, he's extremely personable and has a wonderful demeanor. We scheduled my hip replacement and it was the easiest surgery ever. From the first visit to post-operative care, Dr. Ruffolo and the staff at WakeMed Ortho and WakeMed Cary have been amazing. He is highly regarded among medical staff in the area and now I know why.

I had to have a knee replacement replaced. My primary physician told me Dr. Ruffolo was "magic." "His patients heal in half the time of others." He did not exaggerate. Dr. Ruffolo was great. Surgery and post-surgery care were great as well.

Dr. Michael Ruffolo is an Excellent Orthopaedic Surgeon! My husband needed a knee replacement on same knee he had done 5 yrs ago by different surgeon. This was a very complex surgery since it was essentially a re-do of same knee. Dr. Ruffolo explained everything in detail and the surgery went so well that my husband is back to doing his daily routine within 7 weeks!!! He was able to get back out on boat fishing and is walking around like a new man! We are so thankful for Dr. Ruffolo! My husband will be having his other knee done by him next year. Dr. Ruffolo is caring, pleasant and a top notch orthopaedic surgeon! We traveled 2.5 hrs to see him and we are so happy that we did. Highly Recommend! Would not see any other orthopaedic surgeon, he is the Best!

Dr Ruffolo is an outstanding doctor. He has the best bedside manner and is so kind and patient. He takes the time to answer your questions and is willing to help you understand and ease any anxieties you may have. He performed an anterior hip replacement on me and I have had a great recovery thus far. He is an outstanding doctor and person and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to have this done. He and his staff are very patient focused and your care is absolutely their main concern. So thankful for Dr. Ruffolo, Ashley and all the staff that were with me through this journey.
